Combining Looks in Horizontal and Vertical Treatments
At Treasure Coast Window Fashions here in Jensen Beach, FL, many of our customers ask about how to handle treatments in a space that has both vertically and horizontally oriented windows. It seems like it might be tough to treat both a sliding glass door and a regular-sized window, for example, which often happens in kitchens or living rooms. Luckily, Hunter Douglas offers some great solutions, so you don’t have to worry about how you’ll get the job done. Read on or speak with one of our specialists today.
Coordination Is Key
It can be a challenge to coordinate colors, fabrics, and so on. That’s why it’s great that, for a room that needs both vertical and horizontal treatments, Hunter Douglas offers The Whole House Solution™, which coordinates a number of Hunter Douglas horizontal window treatments with their vertical counterparts. Certain fabrics even share the same names and colors. Keep in mind, with The Whole House Solution™, the products do not “match,” but they do coordinate.
Additional Ways to Match Treatments
Hunter Douglas also offers several product lines that are available in both horizontal and vertical applications for a more exact match within a room. For example, the Duette® and Applause® honeycomb shades offer the same fabric in a vertical orientation called Vertiglide™. The Vignette® Modern Roman Shades offer the Traversed™ with Vertiglide system for vertical needs. And Provenance® Woven Wood Shades can be made into Vertical Drapery. Keep in mind, with each of these products, the textures and lines of the vertical window coverings may differ from their horizontal applications. Also, the outside light will filter into your room differently if the fabric is turned for a vertical window or sliding glass door.
Innovation
Innovation drives Hunter Douglas by thinking of new ways to solve challenges through creating new and proprietary window coverings. Our Hunter Douglas window products add unique luxury and style to any room while also providing advanced solutions to everyday needs, such as managing light, insulating the window, child safety, sound absorption, motorization technology, and much more.
